Bhopal airport is named after the 10th century Paramar King, Raja Bhoj. The airport of Madhya Pradesh with a footfall of more than 1 lac per month. Operations from the New Integrated Terminal Building were started in 2011. The existing terminal is integrated to handle International and Domestic operations.It now has a peak-hour capacity of 700 passengers. A 1 MW solar plant, commissioned at Bhopal Airport, caters to 1/3rd of the airport’s power requirement.
